Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber says it’s a strange new format in the World Cup this year, but it’s something which suits the national team.

Fiji will play the winner of qualifying match between Uruguay and Japan, and following that will be the quarterfinal, semi and the final.

Baber says it’s an interesting format which the national team should take advantage off.

“It’s a strange one for everybody. Not just desperate all the teams are going to be involved, obviously spectators and stakeholders alike. We going to approach on every game differently.”

The World Cup will be held in San Francisco from Saturday week.
