Baber rates Mudu highly

Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach, Gareth Baber has highly rated Nadroga flanker Vasikali Mudu, ahead of the Sydney and Hamilton tournaments.

Mudu who was part of Fiji Airways Drua team could make his debut for the national side in Sydney.

Baber says, Mudu has been an outstanding player in the training and has shown a lot of potential.

“He provides opportunities for us in the contact zone. He has good knowledge of the skills that he deliver there. A player like him has learnt the lessons of how to get away from what he can.”

The Fiji side is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Russia in Sydney.

They kick off their campaign against Samoa at 8.28pm on Friday.

The side then plays Russia at 5.09pm on Saturday before facing New Zealand at 8.24pm.

The Cup quarter-final kicks off at 12.28pm on Sunday, semi-final begins at 6.36pm and the final is schedule for 9.48pm.
