Fiji Airways national 7s coach, Gareth Baber believes the players in his extended squad have lifed thier performance.
Baber says with the pre-season build up tournaments now over, it has given him a great view on the new and experienced players.
“You get a glut of ten or twelve players and suddenly they put their hands up – you going to get three’s and four’s and you know for the next two or three years it’s Fijian rugby 7’s. I need to make sure that talent comes through.”
Fiji 7s captain, Jerry Tuwai says they are ready for the World Rugby Sevens series, which kicks off in Dubai next month.
“I like to thank the Lord for the strength that enabled us to win this tournament and i would like to thank my team mates for the team effort.”
Meanwhile, Baber is also expected to name a few players from the Fiji Airways Drua side in his extended squad next week.
