The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side for the Las Vegas and Vancouver tournament has been named.

Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has made only a change in the squad, bringing Vatemo Ravouvou and dropping Apete Daveta.

Ravouvou was called into the national team as an injury replacement when Fiji won the inaugural Hamilton 7s earlier this month.

Baber says he had to look at few areas before selecting the 13 member squad for the Las Vegas 7s.

“We have lost Apete Daveta, he still got an ankle injury. Sakeo Railoa, Levani Tania, and Isake Katonibau came in but obviously they we look at the players performing at that level and also the fitness in them to go compete at the high level.”

The team departs for the third leg of World Sevens Series on Thursday.

The Las Vegas 7s will be held from the 2nd to the 4th of next month and Fiji is grouped with Kenya, France, and Russia.

You can catch the tournament live on FBC TV and the commentaries of Fiji’s game only on Radio Fiji One.
