With the opening tournament of the World Rugby Sevens Series being a regular Achilles heel for the Fiji Airways men’s 7s team, Coach Gareth Baber is leaving no stone unturned.
Having placed extra emphasis on fitness prior to leaving for Dubai, Baber says he is now getting down to the nitty-gritty of their structure as they count down the days to kick-off.
“We have taken nothing for granted and we’ve worked on defense this week especially on our tackle techniques and also discipline is going to be important to limit the amount of possession.”
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways men’s 7s team is in Pool B with Kenya, Scotland and France in the Dubai 7s which kicks off this weekend.
They open their campaign against France on Friday at 7pm, followed by Scotland at 10pm and Kenya at 4am on Saturday.
