Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Gareth Baber has been impressed with Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro’s performance during the Oktoberfest 7s in Germany last weekend.

He says, Tabakaucoro was at his best form but needs to improve on certain areas, before he could make the cut into the final team for the World Rugby Sevens Series.

“The biggest bonus for me was the way he dealt with contacts. It’s tough for an athlete to switch over from another sport and suddenly get into the techniques of rugby union.”

Meanwhile, Baber expects the players to deliver more when they march into camp next Wednesday at Uprising Resort in Navua.
