Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber believes the players are giving their best shot to make it into the final team for Sydney and Hamilton 7s later this month.
Baber says there are certain areas the team has been working on, to improve in the World Rugby Sevens next leg.
He says they are trying to get their set pieces right.
“We look at the players being able to with speed and also being physical at the same time. We certainly know when we got the ball in hand we are able to create that space. There are not many people that can match us but obviously change their strategy to keep away from us and cause our pressure.”
Baber is expected to name his final 13 member squad next week.
The Sydney 7s will be held from the 26th to the 28th of this month.
