Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber is impressed with the attitude of the new players’ part of the 13 men team preparing for the World Rugby Sevens Series opener in Dubai.
Beniamino Vota, Ratu Meli Derederelagi, Vilimoni Botitu and Filimoni Tuimaba are the new players’ part of the national team.
Baber says these players have been fully committed and are doing well in camp.
“They cope very well, I’m very mindful of keeping communications open with them and you know from our team meeting to Lotu’s, they are very much a big part of that. It’s important that there is an understanding that they just not here as players.”
Fiji is pooled with Kenya, Scotland and France in the Dubai 7s which kicks off this weekend.
They open their campaign against France on Friday at 7.06pm, followed by Scotland at 10.06pm and Kenya at 4.06am on Saturday.
