The Fiji Airways national 7s coach, Gareth Baber is impressed with the motivation shown by the players ahead of the opening round of the World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai next weekend.
Baber says, he looked at all the different aspects before naming his 13 member squad for the first leg.
“I obviously looked at experience levels, quality and physicality plus how they always play as individuals. I have picked up a strong squad to go to Dubai and South Africa tournaments. I know other coaches are doing the same but that’s my mentality.”
The side went through its last training session today before leaving for Dubai this afternoon.
Fiji kicks off the Dubai 7s campaign against Russia on the 1st of December at 7.06pm; they then play Wales at 10.06pm and face Australia a day later at 4.06am.
The final will be played on the 3rd of December at 4.33am.
