Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber hopes to rope in few players from the Fijian Drua squad as he prepares the national team for 2018/19 World Rugby Series.
Baber will be closely be watching the Drua versus Queensland Country NRC final today.
With eight players already drafted into the Flying Fijian side for the autumn tour, Baber now has only a handful of players to pick from.
“There are a few Drua boys. I will look again at the final. Obviously they did fantastically well to get there anyway and I am looking forward to seeing that. I am conscious of working with the boys that are doing well at the moment and they continue to do well. Obviously the talent on the island is especially good for me in 7s.”
The Drua plays Queensland Country at 3.30pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
