Australian government was happy to assist the Pearls

The Australian Government invested FJD$343,000 during the Fiji Pearls three weeks training in Australia.

Australian High Commissioner John Feakes revealed the figure to FBC Sports adding that there was a need to grow and developed Netball in Fiji and the Australian government was happy to assist the Pearls.

“It’s our intentions to try and expose elite Fijian teams to some of our late facilities and elite coaches, so Netball is an obvious games for that sort of activity.”

The Fiji Pearls team to the netball World Cup were hosted by High Commissioner yesterday evening and they thanked the Australian government for the support provided.

Australian High Commission wished the team well in their journey to the World Cup.
