The Australian women’s 7s side thrashed New Zealand 31-0 in the final to win the women’s title of the Sydney tournament.

The Black Ferns trailed 10-0 at half time and failed to get any momentum in the second spell.

Fijian-born Elia Green scored Australia’s third try.

The 31-0 victory means Australia did not concede a point in the tournament- a first for the women’s World Series tour.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways men’s 7s team will play Kenya in the fifth place semi-finals at 5.52pm.

Looking at the main cup semis, USA will take on South Africa at 6.36pm and Australia will then battle Argentina in the second semis.
