Team Fiji General Manager Calvin Yee says other athletes need to meet the criteria in order to travel to Samoa.

“He’s qualified under the A Standard. Athletics Fiji has reiterated that they will only take A quality athletes to the Pacific Games. So far no other athletes have qualified under the A standard set out in the selection criteria by Athletics Fiji.”

Meanwhile, two other athletes from Triathlon have also booked their place at the Games.

The Pacific Games will run through the 7th to the 20th of July in Apia, Samoa.
