BANUVE TABAKAUCORO

Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro has confirmed his place in the 200 metres athletics event for the Pacific Games in July.

He ran a time of 21.25 seconds last Saturday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

Tabakaucoro is yet to qualify in the 100m event and is currently on B qualifier.

He clocked a time of 10.50 seconds in his last run and is outside the qualifying mark by a hundredth of a second, which stands at 10.40.

Tabakaucoro is making a comeback after switching to rugby in 2017 and will be defending the two gold medals he won in the 100m and 200m events at the 2015 Games in Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Games will be held on the 7th to the 20th of July in Apia, Samoa.
