Radrudru and Tinailewadina wins Blue Ribbon in Tailevu Zone

Kolinio Radrudru wins the boy's blue ribbon event

Defending Tailevu Zone champion Ratu Kadavulevu School has begun causing upsets at the Suva’s ANZ Stadium.

Lodoni Sprinter Kolinio Radrudru won the boy’s Blue Ribbon event clocking 10.95 seconds while his other two fellow sprinters Joeli Bolakoro and Josaia Bosoko settled for silver and bronze running a time of  11.24 seconds.

Radrudru beat his time in the heats where he clocked 10.98 seconds.

Mereseini Tinailewadina wins the Girl’s blue ribbon event

In the Girl’s blue ribbon event, Naiyala high school’s Mereseini Tinailewadina scooped Gold clocking 13.86 seconds.

Savaira Rayatu of Saint Vincent College finished second with 14.36 seconds, while Sulueti Tavarusi won Bronze for Naiyala High School clocking 14.52 seconds.

Meanwhile, RKS dominated the 100 metres finals in all other grades.

Viliame Ravu finished first in the Intermediate Boys 100 metres final with a manual time of 11.54 seconds.

Mesulame Tugau bagged gold in the Junior Boys 100 metres with a manual time of 11.80s, while Inia Turagabale won the Sub-Junior Boys 100 metres final with a manual time of 11.96 seconds

RKS is leading the boy’s division with 27 gold, 29 silver and 17 bronze followed by QVS in 2nd place with three gold, four silver and 13 bronze.

Tailevu North extending their lead in the girls’ division with 17 gold, nine silver and eight bronze while Nayala Secondary in 2nd place with seven gold, eight silver and three bronze medals.
