Despite his outstanding form during the Coca-Cola Games, Fiji Association of Sports and national Olympic committee President Joe Rodan says Karan failed to reach the qualifying time.

Rodan says Fiji is lacking long distance runners, but with the right training and advice – Karan is no doubt a Gold medal prospect for Fiji.

“He has the potential. Only if he had been coming to compete regularly I think he would’ve qualified, unfortunately he waited until the Coke Games to come and compete. He has the potential and we have our eyes on him, he’s in the radar and we’ll be getting in touch with him along with the long distance coaches and we will try and improve his performance.”

Karan’s dream of representing Fiji to international tournament will soon made a reality with the right training from the right coaches.
