ACS has high hopes with Vakaloloma

Jesse Vakaloloma leads the way in the blue ribbon race.
18-year-old Jesse Vakaloloma will carry the hopes of Coco-Cola Games girl’s defending champions Adi Cakobau School in this year’s Blue Ribbon race.
Vakaloloma of Uci House clocked a manual time of 13.19 seconds in the senior division during the school’s inter-house at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.
Vakaloloma says she will now try to improve on her time ahead of the Triple N- Zone that will be held next month.
She says she has never won a gold medal in the 100 metres event is hoping to create history this year.
“I’ve been competing since I was Junior and compete at the Cokes and always win silver and I won silver in last year’s inter girls but this year I’m putting a target to win the Blue Ribbon event.”
Meanwhile, Kakala House won the ACS inter-house with 18 gold medals, Uci House finished second with 14 gold, Lagakali was in third place with 9 gold and Mokosoi finished last with 5 gold medals.
