Athletics Fiji eyes more athletes for Rio

Athletics Fiji is looking forward to qualify more than two athletes to the Olympic Games in Brazil next month.

The sporting federation’s official, Albert Miller says around 215 athletes have been selected to represent Fiji in the Melanesian Games.

“We are hoping for favorable weather and nice tail wind specially for our sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro and I’m sure few others from around the region who will be trying to qualify.”

Meanwhile, the Melanesian Games will be held from Thursday to Saturday at ANZ Stadium.
