Athletics Fiji will work on selecting the top nine athletes that will represent Fiji to the Commonwealth Games come April.

A total of 19 athletes will compete for the nine vacant positions that is available for team Fiji to the games.

Team manager Joseph Rodan says they were impressed with the performance of the athletes despite the long break during the festive season.

“We going to pick basically on form and not on their previous performance of reputation.”

The Commonwealth Games will be held in Gold Coast Australia from the 4th-15th of April.
