The Army Bears Rugby League team is going in as underdogs in the Defence Rugby League World Cup in Sydney, Australia this weekend.
Coach Jese Koroibula says the team has a mixture of experienced players from various local clubs selected in a bid to win the title.
“We’re going in as underdogs and we’re treating every game as a final and going into the Defence World Cup is a blessing in disguise and there’s so much things put in to help the team preparing.”
The Army Bears will be up against teams like British Army, New Zealand Army and other Defence force teams including the Australian Army which is well versed with the game.
The Bears will take on the British Army in their first pool match on Friday.
