Argentina ends losing streak against South Africa

Argentina ended an eleven-match losing streak in the Rugby Championship when they claimed a well-deserved 32-19 win over South Africa in Mendoza last night.

Fly-half Nicholas Sanchez was the star for the Los pumas scoring 17 of his team’s point’s curiosity of a try, three conversions, a penalty and a drop goal.

The Springboks had started the game well, but a superior performance from the home side’s forward pack saw the Springboks go on the back paddle as the failed to match the physicality of the Los Puma forwards.

The Los Pumas went into the break with a commanding 27-7 lead and picked off where they left off in the second half to record their first win against the Springboks in the Rugby Championship.
