Ravin Nath retained the Fiji Car Club drag race title after winning the first quarter-mile event of the year at the Taunovo Airstrip.

Driving his Holden Torana, Nath stopped the clock in 402 meters race with a time of 10.12 seconds.

Coming in second was Lawrence Ah Sam with Vicky Nath finishing in third place.

27 cars turned up at the airstrip over the weekend.

The Fiji Car Club will host a Drag War event at the same venue in two weeks time, where members get to race against each other, two cars at a time.
