An indigenous team to compete in AFL Oceania Cup

This year’s AFL Oceania Cup will see an indigenous team from Australia competing at Suva’s Albert Park next week.

AFL Fiji Development Officer, Simon Highfield says this is something they are looking forward to in the competition as it also boost the performance of our local players.

The competition sees the nations from around the South Pacific compete at under-15 level for the title of the best in Oceania.

This year we will see teams from Nauru, Vanuatu and two teams from Australia
We will then be selecting a representative side to travel to
Australia early next year for an opportunity to play against the best in
Australia.

The Oceania Cup will be played next Monday until the 14th of next month.
