Local amateur boxers, Winston Hill, Sina Ruata and Pauliasi Ratu Junior have a fighting chance to compete in the Rio Olympic Games in August.

The trio will be flying off to Qian’an, China next month to compete in the Olympic Games qualifiers for the Asian and Oceania regions.

Fiji Amateur Boxing Association President, Manasa Baravilala says the trio only have to win a medal to ensure qualification.

The Olympic Games qualifying event will be held on March 23rd-April 3rd.

Hill and Ruata won a silver medal each at the 2015 Pacific Games.
