The All Stars is one of the 39 teams participating in this year’s Fiji Secondary School’s Basketball competition.
Basketball Fiji Games Director Laisiasa Puamau has confirmed the team is made up of the U15 national basketball squad who are playing in the tournament as a warm up to the Oceania U15 Championship to be held in Papua New Guinea.
“They barely joined the competition for the girls in the under 17 categories and for the boys they’ve joined in the under 19 competition. They’re just here for the exposure and a little bit of experience.”
Puamau adds every team All-Stars play will win the game by default.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Secondary School’s Basketball competition will run through till Wednesday at the FMF Gymnasium and Ed’s Court.
