The Fiji Football Association has appointed former Navua coach Saiyad Ali as its development officer for the Northern division.

The post is the first of its kind and signals Fiji FA’s intentions to develop the game in Vanua Levu.

“We have recruited Saiyad Ali to be the development officer in north and look after the establishing part time development officers so north is not neglected. Usenio Logivou is migrating to USA and he has an interview in August and with him leaving we have decided Charlene Lockington will take over the women’s coach and development.”

Patel also adds national coaching director Carlos Juan Buzetti and Imdad Ali will prepare the national men’s team for the 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
