AFL Fiji is doing really well: Howard

Australian Football League continues to develop in Fiji with growing interest from youngsters in the country.

AFL Fiji Chairman Leigh Howard says they have seen massive growth and progress of the sport for the past two years.

“AFL Fiji is doing really well. L ast year we had six men’s teams in the senior competition and we’re on track now to have possibly 12 teams registered. Our Football development in the west has also been doing really well. We’ve established three senior teams in the west so Football in the country has definitely been growing.”

AFL Fiji will kick-start with the round one of the senior competition next week at Suva’s Albert Park.
