The Fiji New South Wales bidding team and the Fiji National Rugby League will need over 2 million dollars to have a local team in the New South Wales Cup.
This means they will need all the financial backing they can get if they are to make this dream a reality.
NSW Cup bid chairman Petero Civoniceva says they are hoping to get the government on board to support their bid.
“There are some very detailed requirements set we have to meet obviously the main one we have to meet is having that financial backing and I guess that’s why our presence here is about having important meetings with the government with stakeholders that would be very much supportive of pushing this through”
Fiji’s team to the New South Wales Cup will be based here in Fiji and will also play most of its game in the country.
