The 25 member Vodafone Fiji Under 17 Men’s football side will move into a one year camp from the 14th of next month.
The team will participate at the OFC Qualifiers in February next year but will stay in camp throughout the year in an effort to develop a core age group team for future national team.
The 25 member team selected is from the several developments centers in the country and coach Shalen Lal says it wasn’t easy selecting the team as the talent base was huge.
I would say it was very tough. It was a channel that we used to select the players. They came from the Centre of Excellence branches. They played for their divisions from which we selected the final team.
The OFC qualifiers will be held in February next year at a venue yet to be confirmed.
