Twenty local Fijian match officials are participating in a World Rugby 7’s Level 1 and Level 2 Course this week ahead of the 2017 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championships.

The course commenced in Suva yesterday.

The course is funded through the support of the Fiji Government and Oceania Rugby in conjunction with the Fiji Rugby Union in the interests of capacity building of local referees.

The participants are all current provincial referees, who are to undergo formal training through these courses.

The Oceania Sevens will be played this Friday and Saturday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
