Cricket Fiji general manager, Jon Symonds says from 12 teams it has been reduced to 10 teams in the 5-day tournament.

“The teams withdrew because a lot the players want to stay behind in Nadi and help rebuild houses that have been washed away or help in the cleanup exercises in their villages because some of those players have been very badly affected by the flood and obviously as much as cricket here is important, people’s homes and lives are far more important.”

Meanwhile day three matches continue at Albert Pak today where Suva Warriors will face Kabara at 9am, Lakeba will battle Invitation at 1.30pm.

Ground 2 games will see Moce take on Oneata at 9am and Suva Crusaders takes the field against Komo at 1.30pm.
