$16k raised in gold tournament

More than $16,000 was raised at the Ambrose Golf Charity Tournament at the Suva Golf Club, Vatuwaqa.

The annual fundraising event brought about local golfers in teams of 4 to compete and raise money for Save the Children Fiji in partnership with Telecom Fiji Limited.

Save the Children Fiji Chief Executive Officer Shairana Ali says this year is an auspicious year for them as they celebrate their centennial year throughout the world, making changes in children’s lives as they believe children are our future and by helping them in every means we will contribute towards their betterment and give them a secure and promising future.

Ali adds there’s still a lot of work to be done throughout, and holding such fundraising events is crucial for SC Fiji to help finance their work so they are able to expand their reach and help the vulnerable children by all means they can.
