12 countries to compete in Oceania Laser Masters Championship

12 countries will compete in the Oceania Laser Masters Championship which will be held for the first time in Fiji.

Fiji Yachting Association Secretary Neville Koop says through the support from Tourism Fiji, they are able to secure and host this world class event.

“We have the past top ten sailors and they have compete in the Olympics and other major events and so this is a great opportunity for our sailors in the Oceania to compete among the best in the world.”

Countries like Sweden, UK, USA, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other regional countries will compete in the event.

The week-long championship starts next Monday and ends Friday in Denarau.
