100 days Olympics countdown begins

100 days from now and the eyes of the world will turn to the United Kingdom for the London 2012 Olympics.

To start the countdown, acting British High Commissioner, Martin Fidler hosted Fiji’s athletes to lunch in Suva today.

Four Fiji athletes have already qualified… the shot Glen Kable, Archer Robert Elder, Javelin expert Leslie Copeland and paralympian, Iliesa Delana.

The remaining hopefuls, are still going through qualifying rounds.

Fiji swimming is on the verge of competing in some crucial overseas competition while judo’s Sisilia Nasiga who has been on attachment in the UK is gearing up for the Oceania Championships in Australia next month.
