Youths are recognized an important part of Fiji’s society, government and leadership says Director Youth and Sports William Naisara.

Naisara made the comments while being part of the National Youth day celebrations at Ratu Sukuna Memorial School yesterday.

Naisara says youths should know of the expectations on them and how they can shape the future.

“The programs are designed to bring out and convey young peoples’ identity. One of the major platforms for encouraging young people to participate in any program or process is to come together as youth groups.”

The government believes more children need to organise themselves in youth groups to have a united voice and make a difference.
