Youth voices on human rights

July 3, 2017 4:45 am

Youths in the Western Division converged in Lautoka this morning to raise their human rights concern.

Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission director Ashwin Raj says youths constitute an important demographic thus it is important to hear their concerns.

“I don’t think we should dictate the human rights agenda on the people. It’s very important to hear from the people. So, this consultation is part of that initiative to hear from our youths on what their principal human rights concerns are.”
