A nineteen-year-old man who was arrested by Police in Naikorokoro village in Kadavu, for an alleged sacrilege has been remanded in custody.

Suliano Wainivanua of Wainibuku, in Nasinu is charged with one count of sacrilege appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

It’s alleged the accused entered and broke into the place of worship at Vishnu Bahvan Temple, at Sasawira in Nakasi last week.

Prosecution objected to bail because the matter is of public interest.

The case will be recalled on the 23rd of this month.
