Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa launched a virtual reality video series in Bonn, Germany at the COP23 that has young Fijians telling the story of climate change.

Vuniwaqa explained that the innovative platform allowed those from around the world in Bonn to literally share the experience of climate change effects through these young frontlines.

“You will see the different faces of climate change in the way it impacts not only our youths but also the whole community. Our youth are able to say it the way it is. They see the way in which climate change has become the new norm for people in the Pacific, they express the real vulnerabilities but also how these vary for women and by that extension, children, and the elderly and other vulnerable groups.”
