Yauvoli is climate change ambassador

Former Permanent Secretary of Commerce Amena Yauvoli has been appointed as the Ambassador for Climate Change and Oceans.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointment of Yauvoli as he brings extensive experience from the public sector and regional and international organisations.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola says Yauvoli had the passion, integrity, professional credentials and experience to champion the concerns, not just of Fiji, but of vulnerable island states in the Pacific.

Yauvoli will be working closely with his department and other stakeholders as they prepare for COP21 in Paris.
