Villagers in the furthest islands in the Yasawa Group will no longer face transportation problems to the mainland.
A new 60-passenger boat was officially handed over to Yavusa Bouwaqa – which has four villages by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.
Bainimarama says the purchase of the $300,000 passenger vessel was made possible through the collaboration of Government and the community, which managed to raise $55,000 for the boat.

Bainimarama also gave out four 23 feet fiber glass boats for two villages and two primary schools.
