A new beer has entered the local market giving Fijians more variety to choose from.

Officially launched in Nadi this week, Lion Beer or Lion Brewery PLC is a predominantly Sri Lankan owned and operated brewery.

The company is listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange and its stock is part of the S&P Sri Lanka 20 Index.

The distributors, Lyceum Global Trading in Fiji are confident that Lion Beer will be enjoyed by Fijians.

Director Peter Narayan says this will provide a more stiff competition in the local market.

The difference for Lion Beer is that it’s a world renowned beer and the taste of lager is quite different from other beers and looking at the awards it has won around the globe and that’s the reason why we want to bring it to Fiji and make people have a taste and offer world class beer.

The Lion Beer is distributed across 27 countries.
