Workshop to Empower young Fijians

A workshop is being run by the Education Ministry and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation to empower young Fijians to preserve culture and heritage.
Workshop facilitator Sipiriano Nemani says participants will help in their individual communities to protect culture, identity, and heritage.
Young Fijians are seen as the key to ensuring that our tradition and culture live on through the changing times.
However, in order to do that, they first have to know Fiji’s history.
The nine day workshop titled “Community Based Inventory Cultural Heritage in Fiji” will contribute to the way youth think about culture and heritage.
