The Fiji National Provident Fund will continue to track down companies that are continuously not deducting employee’s contributions.

FNPF Manager Compliance Peni Gonelevu says heavy fines are in place to ensure that these companies are taken to task.

Gonelevu says workers play a major role in assisting FNPF to identify companies that are not complying.

“Workers have the right during the first month of employment or first pay have the right to ask the employer on their deductions and come and check with FNPF of their accounts.”

The Fiji National Provident Fund is currently working with the Ministry of Labour to ensure that all companies in Fiji adhere to the FNPF compliance program.
