Work underway to restore water supply

The Water Authority of Fiji is working around the clock to ensure the restoration of normal water supply to affected areas in the Western division.

Repair works at the Buabua water main in Lautoka is complete.

In the West, water supply will be restored over the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile repair works on the Varaqe intake is about 80 per cent complete while supply from Saru Water Treatment Plant is expected within 24 hours.

Three water trucks are carting water to villages, schools and settlements outside the Water Authority of Fiji’s metered zone in Sigatoka.
