Women in Ba to earn and learn more at new training centre

A new training centre has been opened in Ba to encourage more women to enhance their knowledge on entrepreneurship skills.

Ba Women’s Forum President, Maria Doton says the centre will up skill women to be self-sufficient and earn a living for their family.

Doton says they will also have a literacy department.

“We have a literacy department for those ladies who want to learn how to write and how to read because some of them haven’t been to school, and of course the computer lab for those have achieved, attended higher education.”

The new training centre has a state of the art sewing room, a kitchen, two additional training rooms and a hall.

The center was funded by the Japanese government at a cost of $493,000.
