More than 2000 women have participated and showcased their creative skills during National Women’s Expo since 2014.

Three hundred and forty women were part of this year’s expo and earned approximately $430,244 in the three days they sold their wares.

Women Minister Mereseini Vuniwaqa says the Expo has become a brand in itself.

“The end of the national women’s expo means more women getting empowered, equipped with better knowledge, new experiences, more exposure, and stronger ties with consumers and new found skills to go back and prepare not only for the next expo but for a phase of change and new beginning.”

Meanwhile Vuniwaqa says the Ministry will also focus on the local designers and empower them further in the development of the local fashion design industry.

The three-day Expo came to an end yesterday.
