The man who did not have any form of identification when he passed away at the Valelevu health center last night has been identified.
A relative informed the Police this morning that she was the 32-year-old man’s wife and they live in Nabua.
Meanwhile, the victim was taken in to the Nasinu Police station for a case of damaging property but later passed away at the Valelevu Health Center.
The victim was arrested by a citizen after allegedly damaging his vehicle which was parked along Narere Stage 1 yesterday afternoon.
The victim was allegedly heavily intoxicated at the time of the citizen’s arrest and was taken to the station.
After a while, the victim complained of being ill where he was rushed to the Makoi Health Center for treatment.
He was then transferred to the Valelevu Hospital where he passed away.
A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
