December 2, 2018 12:05 am

The man who did not have any form of identification when he passed away at the Valelevu health center last night has been identified.

A relative informed the Police this morning that she was the 32-year-old man’s wife and they live in Nabua.

Meanwhile, the victim was taken in to the Nasinu Police station for a case of damaging property but later passed away at the Valelevu Health Center.

The victim was arrested by a citizen after allegedly damaging his vehicle which was parked along Narere Stage 1 yesterday afternoon.

The victim was allegedly heavily intoxicated at the time of the citizen’s arrest and was taken to the station.

After a while, the victim complained of being ill where he was rushed to the Makoi Health Center for treatment.

He was then transferred to the Valelevu Hospital where he passed away.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
