A post mortem examination has confirmed a 53-year old woman of Namada in Ba died of extensive burns.

Parvati Kumar suffered 73 per cent burns to her body last week.

The circumstances that led to her death are being investigated.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri is urging the public to come forward with any information that could help in the investigation.

Sokomuri says people should refrain from speculating the circumstances surrounding Kumar’s death on the social media.

The findings of the investigation will be sent to the Resident Magistrate for an inquest as the case is currently being classified as suicide.
