The twenty-four-year-old woman alleged to be the mother of the infant whose severed body was found along the Nawajikuma tramline in Nawaka, Nadi last week has been charged.

The accused has been charged with one count of infanticide.

She will be produced at the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

It’s believed the woman allegedly developed complications following the birth of the child.
