A woman who was found in a pool of blood inside her house yesterday is admitted in a critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital.

It’s alleged the victim was attacked inside her kitchen and was seriously assaulted by her husband.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirms the man is alleged to have injured his 38 year-old wife with a cane knife after a heated argument in Tokovuci settlement in Tomuka, Lautoka .

Naisoro says a neighbor heard the victim crying for help and saw the suspect fleeing the scene.

The suspect is yet to be arrested and investigations continue.
